Introduction To

Connective Tissue

COURSE OVERVIEW

Introduction to Connective Tissue is the Second Foundation Course on the Pathway to Bodywork Mastery

Introduction to Connective Tissue is the second required Foundation Course on the KCR Pathway to Bodywork Mastery

You will be taught how to expand your awareness and understanding of the vital, supportive, and dynamic interconnective systems of tissues that occur throughout the body.

You will learn how gentle and intuitive stretches and releases of the connective tissue system can affect powerful healing to body, mind and even emotional trauma.

Alongside physical techniques you will be introduced to a set of skills that will enhance your own ability to heal and transform physical, emotional and mental states of distress.

This foundation course introduces insights and modalities which will be built upon and developed in the advanced and extended courses of the Pathway to Bodywork Mastery.

Entry Requirements: KCR Level One

Course Duration: 2 Days (14 hands-on hours)

Qualification Obtained: Certificate of Completion of Introduction to Connective Tissue enabling full, immediate implementation.

Connective Tissue Release is based on Myofascial Release ‘the ultimate therapy that is safe, gentle and consistently effective in producing results that last’.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

The medical approach is to drug patients so they temporarily are free from pain, but does nothing to address the “straitjacket” of pressure (the connective tissue freeze) that is causing the pain.

Traditional physical, occupational and massage therapy treats the symptoms caused by the pressure of the “straightjacket” of the Myofascial system but does nothing to alleviate the “straightjacket” of pressures that causes and perpetuates the symptoms.

This is why so many patients only have temporary results never seeming to get better with traditional therapy. Only Myofascial Release treats the entire Myofascial mind/body complex eliminating the pressure of the restricted Myofascial system.
